Segundo Barrio Supply Co. was created to introduce Smiley’s culture to the city we call home.

Smiley grew up between Juárez and El Paso — raised on oldies, Led Zeppelin, Los Silver, Los Frontera, and Juan Gabriel. His dad was a classic car man and the trumpet player for Los Silver, so music and culture were always part of his life.

I’m Leticia — the collaborator, the storyteller, and the other half of this brand. When Smiley and I got together, he didn’t explain his culture… he lived it. And I fell in love with it.

One of the biggest pieces of our story is the ’66 Impala — Smiley’s dream car. I bought it for him almost 30 years ago for $500, even though we were stone broke. That car became part of our family. Our kids grew up handing him tools, learning oldies by heart, and building memories around it. We’re restoring it now, hoping to cruise again this summer — carrying his dad’s memory with us.

Dallas has always had its own cruising scene, and it’s part of our story too. But Smiley’s border‑town roots brought a different flavor into our home — a culture that shaped our marriage, our kids, and now this brand.

Segundo Barrio Supply Co. is our way of sharing Smiley’s culture — the music, the memories, the cars, the pride — right here in Dallas.
